Frequently Asked Questions

How can I donate to Sumati Balwan School?
You can donate online through our Donate Now page using a debit card, credit card, UPI, or net banking. We also accept cheques made in favour of "Sumati Balwan Educational Trust". For large or institutional donations, please reach out to us directly via email or phone.
Is my donation eligible for a tax deduction under Section 80G?
Yes. Contributions to Sumati Balwan School qualify for tax exemption under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act. After your donation is processed, you will receive an official receipt that you can use while filing your annual income tax returns to claim the applicable deduction.
How will my donation be used?
Every rupee goes directly towards the school's programmes — covering tuition support, mid-day meals, uniforms, books, and extracurricular activities for underprivileged children. We publish an annual impact report so donors can see exactly how funds are allocated.
Can I set up a recurring donation?
Absolutely. On the Donate Now page you can choose an annual giving option that automatically renews each year. Recurring donors receive a consolidated 80G receipt at the end of each financial year, along with quarterly impact updates.
How can I sponsor a child's education?
Through our Sponsor a Child programme you can cover the full annual cost of one child's education — including tuition, meals, uniform, and stationery. Visit the Sponsor a Child page, fill in the form, and our team will match you with a child and send you a welcome kit with their profile and academic goals.
Can I visit the school to see the work being done?
Yes, we warmly welcome donors and volunteers to visit. Guided visits are organised on the last Saturday of every month. Please write to us at info@sumatibalwan.org at least one week in advance so we can schedule your visit and ensure the children and staff are prepared to receive you.
What volunteering opportunities are available?
We accept volunteers in several areas — classroom teaching assistance, career mentoring, skills workshops (art, music, computers), and event support. Both in-person and remote volunteering slots are available. Head to the Volunteer page, complete the interest form, and our coordinator will contact you within three working days.
How do I get an 80G receipt for my donation?
Receipts are issued automatically within 7 working days of a successful payment. You will receive a PDF copy at the email address provided during checkout. If you have not received your receipt within that window, please email info@sumatibalwan.org with your transaction ID and we will resend it promptly.

What Our Partners Say

Sumati Balwan's tireless work in our community has been truly transformative. Her initiatives have given hundreds of families access to education and healthcare they never had before. We are deeply grateful for her leadership and compassion.

Priya Sharma

Under her guidance, our village school received support that helped us retain students who would have otherwise dropped out. Her commitment to education for every child is something I have witnessed firsthand, and it is genuinely inspiring.

Ramesh Gupta
Ramesh Gupta School Principal, Haryana

When our village was struggling with the drought, she stood by us and helped organise relief and long-term water conservation work. She listens to ordinary people and actually acts on what she hears. That is rare in any leader.

The health camps organised through her office reached villages that our system had overlooked for years. Her focus on preventive care and awareness has made a measurable difference in the wellbeing of communities across the region.
